  1. Explore the color wheel at https://www.canva.com/colors/color-wheel/ and define the following using writing for the web techniques discussed earlier:
    • Complementary Colors: Two colors opposite each other on the color wheel. They create strong contrast (like blue and orange) Monochromatic: A single base hue combined with its shades and tints. It looks harmonious and balanced.
    • Analogous: Three colors next to each other on the color wheel. For example: green, blue-green, and blue.
    • Triadic: Three colors evenly spaced on the wheel (forming a triangle). Example: red, yellow, blue.
    • Tetradic: Four colors forming a rectangle (two pairs of opposites).
    • Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary
    • Primary: red, blue, yellow.
    • Secondary: mix two primaries → orange, green, purple.
    • Tertiary: mix a primary with a neighboring secondary (red-orange, yellow-green).

    • Saturation: intensity or purity of color.

  2. Pick your favorite color. Identify complementary colors, monochromatic, analogous and triadic colors of your favorite color. Write down the hexadecimal numbers or take screenshots if needed.
    • Favorite color: Deep Blue #0033A0
    • Complementary: Gold #FFD100
    • Monochromatic: #001F60, #0033A0, #004FC0, #80A8E0

    • Triadic: Blue #0033A0, Red #A00033, Yellow #A0A000
  3. Visit http://paletton.com to learn about color pallets. Identify three color pallets that you like the most. Choose one monochromatic, adjacent and triad colors. Watch the following video if needed:
              https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPIk4ETyXV8
              https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWZljdmLTrk
    • Monochromatic Palette: Base: #1E90FF (Dodger Blue) Accents: #63B8FF, #104E8B, #A4D3EE
    • Adjacent (Analogous) Palette: Colors: #1E90FF (Blue), #00CED1 (Turquoise), #20B2AA (Light Sea Green)
    • Triad Palette: Colors: #1E90FF (Blue), #FFD700 (Gold), #FF4500 (Orange Red)
  4. Apply the chosen color pallets to web pages.  Click Examples, Page layout (White page, Dark page, Positive page, Negative page).  Click Presets, Previews, Tables/Exports and investigate different color setups as described in the videos above. Write down few color choice and text combinations you liked. You can provide some screenshots as well. Unfortunately, Examples seem to be not working at the moment. Write a paragraph or two describing your Paletton color choice experience
    • Exploring Paletton was fun and helped me visualize how color palettes interact on a web page. I liked how the monochromatic palette created a calm, unified feeling that would be perfect for professional sites. The adjacent palette had a modern, ocean inspired look, while the triad palette offered strong contrast and visual energy. The preview tools made it clear that color balance and text contrast are crucial for readability. I also learned that lighter backgrounds with darker text were the easiest to read.
  5. Take screenshot(s) of the Page Layouts under Examples for each color palette.
