Start Playing Early
Northwestern Youth Baseball & Softball encourages families to introduce children to the game as early as kindergarten. Starting young helps kids become comfortable with throwing, catching, hitting, running bases, listening to coaches, and playing as part of a team.
Tee-ball and beginner-level programs are designed to be fun, simple, and age-appropriate. The goal is not pressure or competition. The goal is to help kids enjoy the game and build a strong foundation.
How young players get started:
- Register for the appropriate age level.
- Attend any required evaluation or parent information night.
- Watch for communication from coaches.
- Come ready to learn, play, and have fun.
